Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get other people engaged in my fundraiser?
Many people use social media to get their network involved but emails, texts, phone and face-to-face conversations can be even more effective. Check our Tips and Tools page for message and image ideas.
How do I know how my fundraiser is doing?
Once your personal fundraiser page is set up, you’ll have access to your control dashboard. This is where you can track donations, see who your donors are, edit your page and more.
What if someone wants to donate cash?
ere are a couple of options. You can accept the cash and then make a personal donation yourself for the same amount. As a thank you, recognize the donor in a blog post on your page.
At events where you’re selling something, such as a bake sale, think about having your fundraising page up on a mobile phone or other device to allow donors to make their donations right on your page.
Can I do more than one fundraiser?
Of course. Just login to your account as you register for other fundraisers on our site. Scroll down to see all the other fundraising options you can participate in.
How do I find someone’s fundraising page?
Use the Search for a friend or fundrasier function on the homepage. Or ask your friend for the unique URL they were given for their personal fundraising page.
Will donors receive a charitable tax receipt for their donations?
Yes, all donations to World Animal Protection are tax deductable. When supporters donate to a page they recieve an email reciept with a pdf reciept attachment with all the details required to claim at tax time.Â

How community fundraising for World Animal Protection works
1) Choose the type of fundraiser you want
CHALLENGE YOURSELF by going 30 days without plastic, walking to work for a week, dressing like a polar bear… give yourself any creative and meaningful challenge and donors will respond.
DONATE YOUR DAY and ask everyone to skip the birthday, anniversary or wedding presents and donate to your fundraiser instead.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE and anything can be a reason for your team to get involved. Hold a bake sale, DJ a party, knit scarves, put on a film screening — whatever you love to do.
GET MOVING by picking your favorite physical activity and asking everyone to support your run, swim, skate, climb, bike ride or adventure.
2) Create your fundraising page
Create your personal fundraising page where everyone can give their donations. Once you’ve signed in, you’ll see how easy it is to post photos, describe your fundraiser and tell people why helping World Animal Protection is important to you.
3) Tell the world
Now you can let friends, family and colleagues know what you’re up to and how they can donate. There’s a Get Support button on your account dashboard to access your social media accounts and Tips and Tools to help quickly spread the unique URL for your personal fundraising page.
